G2 Secure Staff, LLC ("G2") has been awarded a contract to manage the day turn cabin appearance for Continental Airlines, a leader in aircraft cabin appearance. G2 is seeking a General Manager to manage day-to-day ground handling operations, specifically day turn cabin appearance, per client (Continental Airlines) specifications at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH). As the General Manager, you will develop schedules, approve time off, investigate incidents, manage daily hours, control overtime, and run an efficient and effective operation. In addition, you will also be responsible for maintaining positive customer feedback by participating in weekly customer debriefs and reviews with senior IAH air carrier management, manage G2’s performance measurement of services, ensure all Airline/TSA and G2 audits are successful and liaison with corporate regarding financial and general issues. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of progressive management experience, preferred airline management or Operations Manager in a contract services capacity. Position would be ideal for a current Manager or Sr. Operations Manager looking to advance into a much larger account management role; a self-starter who can work with limited supervision. This role reports to the Regional Operations Manager and requires management of 230+ employees, operations duty managers, supervisors/crew leads, and crew leads as well as developing and maintaining positive client relations.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Responsible for duties at operation such as hiring/terminations, counseling, administrative duties, client relations, FAA/TSA relations, training, payroll processing, client invoicing, scheduling, and employee relations
- Train/retrain all personnel in airline/airport procedures, safety procedures, and company policies and procedures
- Responsible for the scheduling of all airport employees insuring adequate coverage
- Maintain good employee relations at airport sites. Handle employee problems in an efficient and effective manner
- Project a positive image and respond to inquiries from airlines, staff and public in a courteous manner
- Utilize appropriate communications channels and maintain records, reports and files
- Adhere to company policies and procedures and participate in achievement of company objectives
- Utilize company equipment, supplies and resources in a conscientious, cost effective manner
- Perform quality assurance service audits as directed to conform to client specifications and/or procedures
- Perform other duties as requested
REQUIREMENTS:
- Motivated leader, willing to roll-up their sleeves and work alongside the employees
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) and at least 5 years of progressive management experience in Terminal and Ground Handling environments (above and below wing)
- Airlines, Operations, or Hospitality experience required
- Proven experience in driving positive results in key performance areas, i.e., maintaining and/or improving audit results, compliance standards, loss time, client satisfaction, etc.
- Working knowledge of financial reports and budgets
- Willingness and ability to relocate if currently living outside the IAH area
- Excellent communication skills; bi-lingual skills a plus
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skill to include: Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point
- Flexibility, multitasking and experience working in a changing environment
